The Island LARP

Action! Adventure! Intrigue! Mystery! Shipwrecks, Treasure, Strange fogs, Pirates, Miracles, Reunions, Losing Oneself, Finding Oneself....

The Island still needs players and cast. If you're a fan of Lost, or classic stories such as Island of Dr. Moreau, Mysterious Island, Most Dangerous Game, Treasure Island, Pitcairn's Island, King Kong, Greek and other mythology, etc, come play! We really would like to fill soon, so that we can get a better idea of M/F ratio of characters. The writing team* is Moira Parham, Suzanne Wayner and Paul Wayner, with GM and tech support from many others. They are a really good, experienced group of folks working hard on this and have a lot of cool plots and characters, but need people to play them still.

Game setting is modern day. It runs July 11-13 2008, Lenhartsville, PA - go to http://www.islandlarp.com to sign up.

[* this is a great writing team! I will be playing... come and join me!]

urk - I types this huge response, and IE seems to have swallowed it. Sigh. Basically, what Ambug said. If the genre appeals to you, I think you'd really enjoy it. All players will have a character sheet that describes who you are, what experiences you've been through to get to this point (marooned on an island), and who else in the game you know. There will be characters you meet that no one knows - the main advice I can give is talk to everyone, as we will have "cast" players who will have information and help, as well as many of the other characters in game all have different pieces to a puzzle. And the game is not all about solving a puzzle either - for some, it may be just more role-playing kill a strange monster that they enjoy. If you'r enot sure yet, that's fine - there are a lot of characters that are sort of in the "middle" of the spectrum - some puzzles to solve, some role playing, etc. And we try hard to give people what they request as far as pairing them up with folks they know out of game.
