Guest speaker
This past Tuesday I was a guest speaker on Paganism for anthro_geek's World Religions class at The Universities at Shady Grove. I have to admit I had some trepidation about the idea, but decided that (as in so many things) this meant it was time to push my comfort zone...

It was a very good experience. Just organizing my notes was invigorating... The students were attentive and engaged, asked very good questions, and applauded me at the end. A few came up to talk to me afterwards, and one of them accompanied anthro_geek and I for food afterwards- we had a lovely and wide-ranging discussion.

A new and good experience... not sure I would want to do it as a regular thing, but it was definitely interesting and satisfying.

I'm glad to hear it went well. I expected it would, since I had heard she had several students who had already expressed an interest in attending a pagan event for their class project (which requires participating in an event for an unfamiliar religious tradition.) Nice for both of you to be able to assist them in their explorations.
