Back in the saddle again
Yesterday ended my six-month driving moratorium. And I had today off from work, so I got to drive around and do errands! It was oddly thrilling. I'm happy to report that my skills don't seem to have atrophied.

I'm lucky in that my job is very Metro-accessible, and most of my medical providers are as well (though time constraints/laziness dictated using a taxi here and there). I'm also really fortunate to have my beloved monsteralice... she was a real trouper, and even though she doesn't like driving at all, she accepted her burden cheerfully (she also cheerfully accepted the flowers I sent her, my taking on extra home chores, etc.). I'm really grateful to her, and all my friends who made it possible for me to get to ceremonies, LARPs, parties, etc.

Brigid and Sulis grant that I have no recurrence, and many thanks to Papa Legba for safety on the road in the past, present and future.

Yay!! Congrats!! This calls for a road trip to celebrate!!

Well, we're going to DE on Boxing Day to see monsteralice's family... does that count?

Glad to hear you are back in the saddle.

BTW, I'd be happy to review a copy of "The Words Swim, Waiting." I apologize for not getting back to you but I've been in bondage to a small but extremely cute tyrant for the past few weeks and e-mail has been among the many tasks which have slipped away.

Thank you!

I'm currently sparring with Lulu since they managed to introduce a cover glitch and are saying it's my fault. But I should be able to get you a copy soon.

Could you get me your mailing address? I think you know my email...

So very happy for you! I understand the lack of mobility all too well. Blessings to you and your lovely wife. I did a little dance around my mailbox the other day when your card arrived.

Aye Legba!

Am glad the wait is over, and will keep good thoughts to having no further worries in this regard!

I am glad that you are self-mobile again. I know how frustrating it can be to work around other people's schedules and be reliant on their goodwill for transportation. Safe travels.

Hurrah! Carlessness bites.
