Writer's Block: Dream Trip

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

In the "someday" category: Bhutan, Nepal (in particular Tengboche for the Mani Rimdu festival), Mongolia, Egypt, Morocco, Peru, the Orkneys, Tory Island

In the "more likely/sooner" category:
Scotland, etc.- fly into Manchester, visit York, Hadrian's Wall, Edinburgh, thence into the Highlands and hopefully Skye
Ireland- this time, rent a car and get up into the Connemara, etc.
Iceland
Cruising- especially if Carnival keeps running cruises out of Baltimore; also Alaska
Nova Scotia
Seattle and Vancouver
Chicago
San Francisco
England- back to London, and this time Glastonbury and Cornwall...
Wales

We are definitely planning to go to Mexico next year (more on this later), and I'm thinking of revisiting Austin for the Maya Meetings...

I vote for San Francisco ;)

I love San Francisco! I love Chicago... it's my kind of town! Actually I love your list and am stealing it, even Iceland. I really would love to go back to Chicago for a long weekend and see the museums, eat another gyro (and buy enough to bring home), and have a Chicago dog at SuperDawg... we drove by it but was unable to stop. Add on the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick and Paris and you've got a short list for me. Although I know I'll be doing another visit to the Virgin Islands if just to spend time on St. John.

We would have gone to Chicago last year if the cruise hadn't come up. I still want to go, especially to the Field Museum...

If you ever think a group trip thing could be whipped up, I'd be interested. Also, knowing a native means knowing all the inside scoop! I'd love to go for a 3 day weekend for my birthday but I doubt that will happen. *sigh*

I'll keep you in mind... probably won't be for a couple of years, though...
