This is a story. Is it true?

"Beauty is truth, truth beauty,--that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."

So, if it makes life more beautiful for you, it's true. If not… Mustapha says: "It's just a story..."

The world is the Creator's Garden, and we are all the Their children, living in Their House. The House is a place of great contentment and joy, but sometimes we want a larger horizon. So we go to the Creator, and we ask Them: "May we go play in Your Garden?" And They chuckle indulgently, and reply, "Of course! Be kind to one another; don't lose your Head; and above all remember that We love you. Have fun, and come home when you are tired."

So we go out to play in the Garden. Many times we remember what They told us. But because we are children, we sometimes forget. We are cruel to each other, we lose our Heads; we even forget the Creator's love. But no matter what we do, or how we play, we get tired eventually, weary as the light of the setting sun.. We find ourselves drawn back to the Creator's House. They are there waiting for us, with open arms and a loving smile. If we have forgotten, They speak to us sternly; if we have done well, we are praised. But in the end, all are forgiven. We are given food and comfort, healing and rest. The Creator asks us what we have learned, and They delight in our stories. And we live in the House until we wish to go and play again.

But there are some of the children who wanted to help the Creator, to give back to Them some of the love They give us. And so the Creator gave them special Heads, ones with Powers, and gave them each a part of the Garden, or a group of other children, or a certain game, to watch over. And these special children are the Great Ones- gods, lwa, orishas, saints, devas, and the like. They try to guide us and help us, but we have to ask them before they will do anything. But they are there, as the Creator's love is there.

All we have to do is remember.
