Mythical Jouneys - Vodoun track
salwe
evcelt
This year at the FSA Mythical Journeys event (Columbus Day weekend), I will be assisting* kenazf and latzonik in running the Vodoun track.

If you feel drawn to the lwa but don't know where to start... if you've started following the path but want to take another step... or even if you're simply sincerely interested in Vodoun... this track is for you. You will learn about the lwa, and start finding out which of these spirits walk with you. You will find out how Vodou altars are set up. There will be dreams and visions; you will learn, and maybe a door or two will open for you.

I attended last year as a participant, and it was powerful and moving. Outwardly very quiet and calm, but with intense and challenging spiritual work. kenazf and latzonik are very good teachers, knowledgeable, humorous, and down to earth.

I highly recommend this event, whether you are interested in Vodoun or not. divalion is presenting a Sacred Romancy track that sounds enthralling. catpaw67 and crew are presenting an intriguing journey through the Osiris myth. There are ten tracks in all- creativity, Norse myth, sacred sexuality, the Trickster...

The event itself was very well run last year, and the site (Ramblewood Retreat Center in northern MD) is secluded and pleasant, with a powerful spiritual presence. The facilities include cabins, flush toilets, hot showers, and electrical power. The food is good and reasonably priced.

Join us this fall, and journey within...

If that happens again, you should probably try grounding unless you have a strong feeling you should do something with the energy.

Do you know the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBRP)? Given you spiritual orientation, it might appeal to you... it's a very useful thing to have in your "toolkit", as it were.

FWIW, last year at the MJ Vodoun track we held a Misa... now, I wouldn't make that the only reason for going to MJ, and you may not want to wait that long, but I thought I'd mention it.

well, it seems like you had enough energy to keep you awake. ;-)

like i mentioned at FSG, it's a good idea to do some regular spiritual work in the morning and the evening... "spiritual hygiene" at very least... the LBRP is a good basis for this...

Thanks for the plug! (And I hope we can give you some responsibilities that are more intellectually stimulating than the wood-and-water shift...)

Thanks for the plug!

De nada!

And I hope we can give you some responsibilities that are more intellectually stimulating than the wood-and-water shift...

That would be cool!
