[DC area] Job openings at my workplace
nola
evcelt
My workplace, the Close Up Foundation, has some job openings- Account Manager (customer relations), Sales Rep (sales and marketing), Lodging Supervisor (hotel relations), and Program Instructor (teaching and inspiring the students who come to DC).

The Foundation is the nation's largest nonprofit, nonpartisan civic education organization. For over 35 years, we've worked to promote responsible and informed participation in the democratic process through a variety of educational programs. We've brought over 650,000 students, educators and other adults to DC since we started the program in 1971.

For more info, look at our Jobs page. If you apply, tell them Hugh Eckert sent you- I get a referral bonus!

Completely random but did you post that the VA is now putting the Wiccan pentacle on gravestones? I can't seem to find it but it might have been someone else on my f-list.

Yes, ninjaslug posted on it and also monsteralice called me yesterday with the news. It's wonderful...

Dammit, every time you post about this I want to apply for that Program instructor job.

Stop making me want to work in DC!

Stop making me want to work in DC!

No. ;-P

Is Blue on this filter? If not, if you send it to shadira42 at yahoo dot com she'll almost definitely apply for either the Account Manager, Sales Rep, or Lodging Supervisor positions.

It's not actually filtered- I just put a flag in the subject line. But I'll email it to her anyway. I was thinking of her when I posted it...

Mr. Person formerly known as Mr. Heebeejeebee

I sent my resume in today! And I dropped your name in the coverletter.

Out of all the coverletters Ive churned out in the last few days I think the one I sent in is compelling... at least it makes me want to talk to me. lol

Is there a key to getting it out of an inbox and a real person to be reading it?

Cool. Thanks!

Other than the usual stuff? I dunno... I haven't interviewed anywhere for over 18 years. I sit right next to our HR person, so I can ask her if you don't hear from anyone...
