"Red in Tooth and Claw"
(with apologies to Robbie Burns)

Oh, wee timorous dooméd beastie,
You're quite right to fear-
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch
Have ended your career.

It's not that I lack compassion
For such as you, poor mouse,
But my generous ways got put aside
When you crept inside my house.

And so from pest to feline toy
You make your painful way;
I sit spellbound 'til curtain falls
On this tragic, violent play.

Now your killers clean themselves,
And purring, languid lie-
Each with Tyger burning bright
In the jungle of its eyes.

I NEED YOUR BRAIN . . .

Do me a favor?

Tell me about Brigid.

Re: I NEED YOUR BRAIN . . .

What do you want to know?

I will probably do a post to my LJ about this, as it might be of interest to others...

Re: I NEED YOUR BRAIN . . .

Divus Ex game. I realize there may be changes based on character sheet, but I want to be able to get in her head and understand her.

Independent from that, I'm trying to figure out what to wear as her. ;)

But I'd love whatever comes to mind that you think I should know.

Re: I NEED YOUR BRAIN . . .

See my LJ. The references might be a good start.

Costuming should be fairly simple- see the notes in this bluesheet that I wrote for "In The Dark Times".

I would recommend that your cloak/mantle be brightly colored without being garish.

And apologies to Lewis Caroll also, I should think. :-)

Nicely done.

And Blake, as well, for that matter. Thanks!

Ye mousey should have known thy lane,
And in your tunnel still remained.
Yet oft the wills of mice and men
May fall away,
And tempt you into searing pain
With promised joy.

Still thou art blessed, compared with me,
For as your doom tears you in three,
No more in pain shall you e'er be,
Nor girl cat fear.

But on white rugs my wife will se
your ruined smear.

Nice.

Fortunately, our cats make the basement their killing floor. And mouse blood on that would be an improvement in most places. ;-)

I have told PuppyBoy at least twice that "The bugs live outside,
we live inside." He'd gotten it down pat that we kill the bugs
that get inside - it was the flipside that confused him.
