Free Smithsonian lecture on Trans-Neptunian Objects
dream
evcelt
I'm an astronomy geek at times, and for many reasons I've been reading up on the subject of Trans-Neptunian Objects recently.

When I was looking through my mail last night, what to my wondering eyes should appear but a flyer for the Smithsonian NASM's "Exploring Space" free lecture series, and the first lecture listed was Pluto, Eris, and the Dwarf Planets of the Outer Solar System. The lecturer is Mike Brown, one of the top people in the field.

Like I said, it's free, but you need tickets. There's a link on the lecture page to get them.

I'm going...

Can we come with t-shirts and picket signs that say, "Pluto is a planet!!" and "Free Pluto!!" ;)

I can't stop you but I might pretend not to know you. ;-)

Your opinion is in the minority on that matter. ;-)

BROWN IN URANUS!

BROWN IN '07!

Re: BROWN IN URANUS!

I think I know what the new rule will be now. Thanks for the idea! Or can the committee veto the rule of the "honoree"?

Re: BROWN IN URANUS!

And you have to do them first, anyway.

Gee, thanks for your support. But I think you are just trying to deflect attention away from Johnson.

Re: Umm, nice icon?

JOHNSON IN '08!

Re: Umm, nice icon?

Woot!

Re: Umm, nice icon?

Pot. Kettle. Black.

I wouldn't have needed this icon if you hadn't started the ball rolling with your DD3 bio etc.

But, if you insist...

Brown OR Johnson in '07!

VOTE LIBERTARIAN!!!

Re: Umm, nice icon?

Fuller in '09!

um...if I win then I promise to make North California a free hippy state.

The ball was rolling well before my DD3 bio. And I was pressured into writing the bio, if I hadn't raging_apathy was going to write one for me!

Three shall enter, one shall leave! (Or is that "li-i-ive"?)

Thanks!
