The bad news is, I'm not radioactive.

The good news is, my heart is in the right place. And functioning well, apparently.

Let me clarify: a couple of weeks ago, I started having distressing chest tightness- not really pain, but it freaked me out a bit. Went to urgent care... my EKG and chest X-rays were normal. Went to my regular doctor (well, actually, one of the PAs at the practice), who also didn't think there was anything to worry about. But they decided to send me off for a stress-test, anyway. It was kind of interesting, even without becoming radioactive... especially playing biofeedback games with the monitor while I was waiting for the cardiologist.

I turn out to have a healthy heart, so it's probably stress (so opined the cardiologist) or some kind of mild inflammation in the chest from indigestion or something (so opined the PA).

We'll see. I have a physical scheduled for early January, so I'll be sure to discuss it with my doctor then.

Glad to hear that you are healthy... I guess it's not

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

:)

Remember you're feeling love, not disgust!

Have monsteralice lick you anyway... it's bound to be good luck!

I'm glad to hear that all's physically well. I'll look forward to comparing cardiologist stories with you, since I'll be going to one soon.

(playing biofeedback games with the monitor ... hmm....)

(playing biofeedback games with the monitor ... hmm....)

Just simple stuff- "pulse rate's at 99, let's see 98... 97... 96..." Worked OK for a second or two, then it bounced back up.

Did I ever mention that doctors' offices stress me out? ;-)

Heh. I have a sinus arythmia thingie - irregular heartbeat and I can drop it like 20 bmp if I hold my breath for a few seconds. That really makes the machine crazy. :)

Glad things are okay - hopefully they will stay that way forever.

Or at least until it's time to move on to my next incarnation... I want to live 'til I'm 120, just so I can go around yelling "I'm 120!!", like Eddie Izzard. ;-)
