Went to the Threads game last weekend. A lot of fun... mostly playing my PC, but a couple of meaty cast roles, too. The Manse became a privateer for the game (well, it was more an impressionistic workover of the ground floor, but effective). Needless to say, I slept little, but it was worth it.

Of course, that put me into a sleep deficit for the week, which was worse than usual because I was in training Tue-Fri, and had to get up early each day. So I'm a wee bit groggy today. Training was good, though not thrilling (Windows Server 2008); still, useful.

Saw Thor this week- actually, saw it 1 1/2 times, as the sound went out an hour into the movie the first time we went. Irritating, but we got out money back. Anyway, it was a lot of fun- just the sort of thing we were in the mood for. Some promising previews, including Captain America, the Green Lantern, Cowboys and Aliens... should be a good summer for adventure movies.

Mungo is having GI problems again this week, which is bugging us more than him. We're hoping it will resolve soon.

Heard an interesting piece today on Science Friday about exoplanets that don't appear to have associated stars: http://arstechnica.com/science/news/2011/05/exoplanets-without-a-star-galaxy-teems-with-lonely-jupiters.ars

The rosebushes I planted a couple of weeks ago (one red for Danto and one pink for Freda) are doing quite well. My dad recommended the "Knockout" variety, as they are hardy and bloom a lot, and they seem to be deserving their reputation.

Finally getting back to the cabin this weekend after a few weeks away. That will be lovely.
